Summer is coming to an end in Korea this weekend with scattered showers on Friday turning into heavier rains all through next week.
Already on Thursday and Friday afternoon, some inland areas will be hit by thunderstorms, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration.
Up to 60 mm of showers are expected in Gyeonggi Province, Chungcheong provinces, Jeolla provinces and Gyeongsang provinces.
The rain will only intensify on Saturday beginning in southern parts and Jeju Island in the morning and spreading to the entire country in the afternoon.
The rain will persist for at least five days throughout the country.
